The project “Promoting Stability and Empowering Youth in Sinjar,‘ aims to facilitate the reactivation of vocational training programs, empowerment initiatives, and community stability in the Sinjar Region. Its primary objective is to ensure sustainable and lasting returns of displaced populations by fostering collaboration between the local community and government entities. The project will be implemented by four local NGOs operating in Sinjar as part of the Sinjar Consortium for Local Organizations, led by the Youth Bridge Development Organization. The initiative seeks to enhance advocacy efforts and strengthen communication channels between the local government and community in Sinjar through many community campaigns and initiatives. These initiatives will involve various services departments and schools in Sinjar, providing support in areas such as psychosocial support (PSS), education, and vocational training. All activities will be conducted at the ‘Inclusion and Empowerment Center‘ in Sinjar, managed by the Sinjar Consortium partners.

The main goals of the project are as follows:

  1. Activating the role of government institutions and community leaders in Sinjar
  2. Building bridges of trust and intensifying efforts between society and government institutions in rehabilitating infrastructure and delivering services to people
  3. Empower youth to be encouraged to build a new life in Sinjar
  4. Increasing the community stability
