As part of the “Promoting Stability and Empowering Youth in Sinjar” project, supported by IOM and funded by the Dutch government, the Sinjar Consortium for Local Organizations organized a football tournament for teachers. This event took place in schools across the Sinjar district center, Qayrawan sub-district, and its affiliated areas, as well as the Qahtaniya sub-district and its surrounding regions. The initiative aimed to develop sports skills, enhance communication, interaction, and physical fitness, and promote sportsmanship and life values, while also strengthening social bonds among various school communities.
The tournament culminated in an exciting final match between Al-Qahtaniyah and Ramboosy High School, with Al-Qahtaniyah High School emerging as the champions. This event showcased the enthusiasm and sportsmanship of all participants, contributing significantly to the project’s goal of promoting stability and empowering youth in Sinjar.
