Youth in conflict zones face great challenges mainly represented in the lack of appropriate educational and training opportunities, and this negatively affects their chances of obtaining sustainable employment opportunities and improving their standard of living. However, through “promoting Stability and Empowering Youth Project in Sinjar”, which is implemented by the Sinjar Consortium for Local Organizations, with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and funding from the Dutch government, a new initiative has been launched that aims to support and empower youth in Sinjar region.

Learning and professional development is crucial for young people in the modern era, and indeed provides valuable opportunities for young people in Sinjar to acquire English language and computer skills, which are essential skills for global communication and the development of their career paths.

These training courses aim to provide practical and high-quality educational opportunities in the fields of English language and computer basics  for 40 young people from both genders, with the aim of improving their chances in the labor market and supporting their social and economic integration. The initiative also seeks to enhance the capabilities of young people, improve their vision for the future, and inspire them to move forward in their careers

These courses are offered in a supportive learning environment and include practical exercises for young people, as they benefit from modern educational resources and technology. The lessons are delivered by professional trainers with experience in their fields, and the educational courses are organized on a regular basis to achieve the best results.

This project reflects the commitment of the partners in the Sinjar Consortium to empower youth and enhance their opportunities in areas suffering from the effects of conflict.
