The “Together for a Better Sinjar” community network was established as a key initiative for community stabilization and recovery in the post-war conflict with ISIS. The role of this network is to provide a comprehensive platform that brings together community members and representatives of local authorities in the regions of Sinjar, Qairawan, and Qahtaniya.
The network’s work revolves around analyzing problems and formulating the needs and challenges facing society, and this is done through monthly meetings held by the network. During these meetings, pressing issues are discussed and submitted to relevant government agencies and organizations to take the necessary measures.
In addition, the network contributes to building bridges of trust between the local community and the government, and works to enhance communication and mutual understanding between the parties concerned. In this way, the network plays a pivotal role in improving local governance and enhancing community participation in decision-making.
