The “Sports for Peace” football tournament, organized by the Sinjar Consortium for Local Organizations, recently concluded in Sinjar. The tournament showcased the participation of eight popular teams from various regions in southern Sinjar, all vying to secure a spot in the final match. The highly anticipated final match took place at Til-Qasab Stadium, featuring the teams of Deceased Tahseen and the youth of Til-Banat. In an exhilarating display of skill and determination, the team of the deceased Tahseen emerged victorious with a resounding 4-1 scoreline.

The stadium was brimming with enthusiastic fans and a large audience who eagerly gathered to witness the gripping match. Live commentary from inside the stadium enhanced the overall experience, adding to the excitement and engagement of the spectators.

In recognition of their outstanding performance, both teams were awarded a complete sports kit for their players, along with prizes and medals for the first and second place winners.

These remarkable events are part of the ongoing initiatives by the Sinjar Consortium for Local Organizations, under the project “Promoting Community Stability and Empowering Youth in Sinjar.” led by the Youth Bridge Organization
