This project aimed to provide the new returnees in Sinjar with a temporary solution to address their needs.

Instant water was not potable, so this project provided 6000 liters of water per week for two months, and 250 plastic tanks for storing domestic water (capacity of 3000 liters) for the new returnees. The project targeted 250 families; benefiting more than 1250 people from those who need urgent water support.

Families who returned to some areas of Sinjar to their homes needed urgent support due to damaged properties and no basic services such as water, as ISIS destroyed public and private water infrastructure, which requires renovation and repair to return Home: Water Support for Returning Families:

Public and private water sources were temporary, but the new returnees needed a temporary solution to make these areas habitable and give them space to focus on other household and economic recovery priorities.
