Within the framework of the “Promoting Community Stability and Empowering Youth in Sinjar” project, The Sinjar Consortium for Local Organizations released a video as part of a community-wide campaign on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and X.com addressing the critical issue of electricity preservation and protection in the Sinjar area. Persistent challenges, such as weak voltage and frequent outages, have compounded the longstanding electricity problem in the region. Despite the return of life to many areas in Sinjar, essential services, including electricity, still face significant gaps.
To address this issue exacerbated by mismanagement and citizen pressure, The Sinjar Consortium collaborated with the Sinjar electricity department. Together, they launched an awareness campaign on social media, shedding light on the correct use of electricity, reducing voltage pressure, and preserving energy through simple yet effective measures. Recognizing the importance of community awareness, this initiative aims to contribute to a sustainable and reliable electricity supply for the people of Sinjar.
