Delivering 5 social-cohesion sessions with community leaders, youths, women, and local authorities, as well as conducting a training workshop for 25 community members from youth, women, community leaders, and local authorities and forming a social-cohesion committee. These sessions were within the project “Building Peaceful Futures in Sinjar” and were delivered as part of promoting peace and social cohesion in the Sinjar area among the different components of Sinjar after the return of so many families to the area. During the ISIS attacks and envision of the Sinjar area, almost all the population got displaced in the Kurdistan region and only a few families stayed on the Sinjar mountain. This displacement created dispersion within the community; therefore, there was a need to bring these families together in one community and help them recover from the trauma and live together in a cohesive society focusing specifically on bringing people from different religious groups together and activating the role of the community members to build peace and social cohesion through discussion sessions with youth, women, local authorities, and community leaders. These sessions took place from September to December 2022.

As part of the social cohesion activities, Youth Bridge Organization formed a community committee from the community members and local authorities and trained them to be the voice of the community between the community and local authorities and raise issues related to peace-building and social cohesion.
