Organizing the Sinjar cultural festival “Our Diversity id Our Beauty” in Sinjar to revive the cultural identity of the area
The Youth Bridge Organization organized a cultural festival in the city of Sinjar entitled “Sinjar Festival for Cultural Diversity” Our Diversity is Our Beauty” as part of the “Building Peaceful Futures in Sinjar” project on 19th of December 2022.
The festival aimed to emphasize the importance of the role of art in promoting societal stability, to show the cultural and social aspects, the community’s legacy of distinguished literature, and the media and cultural industries as powerful catalysts for identity and social cohesion, as well as preserving cultural identity od the Sinjar area.
Musical groups, folkloric dance groups, a group of poets, an exhibition of local and handicraft products, and an art exhibition for a group of painters participated in the festival, in addition to the participation of government and security departments and a group of community leaders from various components and spectrums of society, and so many NGOs representatives from Sinjar.
