Distribution of 650 household RO water filters and 777 spare parts in Tel-Qasab and Tel-Banat complexes.

The people of Tel- Qasab, and Tel-Banat, who returned to their areas, were suffering from polluted water that was not suitable for drinking, and now they can get clean and healthy water inside their homes.

A large number of returning families relied on buying water from mobile tanks or well water, which is completely unsuitable for drinking, according to the tests we conducted from 72 samples (pre-evaluation) from the various targeted areas, 97% of them were unsuitable for drinking.

The distribution of household water filtration devices contributes to reducing infectious diseases, especially for children and the elderly, and reduces the costs of medicines and the purchase of potable water. After we conducted tests of the water used by the filters (post-evaluation), we discovered that the percentage of water used by families for drinking is 100% healthy and safe to drink.

Within the “Building a Peaceful Future in Sinjar” project, the Youth Bridge organization distributed and installed 650 household water filtration devices and 777 filters for families returning to the cities of Taqasab and Talbanat during November and December 2022.
