On October 20, 2022, the Youth Bridge Development Organization (YBDO) conducted a dialogue session with a group of Yazidi influential figures in Sinjar. With the participation of a number of Yazidi influential figures and representatives of political parties and community leaders in Sinjar, the conclusion of the first day of the fourth dialogue session on the most important challenges and risks facing the Yazidi community that threaten their future in Iraq and the role of community leaders from politicians, academics and businessmen in Iraqi political decision-making in post-ISIS era. Community leaders always play a major role to create changes in their communities specifically through their impact and having access to the decision-making positions and people. 

The dialogue session was for two days, one day in the Sinjar region and one day in Kurdistan/Dohuk Governorate. The main goal of conducting sessions in both places was to involve more community leaders in the sessions to identify the Yezidi community’s main needs and challenges and obtain their recommendations on how to improve the Yezidi situation in Iraq.
