The project “The Role of Arts in Inclusion and Social-Cohesion” aims to create a space for integration between young people and promote their skills through training in PSS, painting, Music, and awareness Yoga sessions including people with special needs to include them in social activities and raise awareness among people to respect them in the community. As well as train youth groups of both genders from different components of the Sinjar district including people with disabilities, women, and survivors. This project included holding yoga and PSS sessions and training courses about theatre, music, and painting along with a forum to discuss how art is essential in bringing community members together. This project includes participants from the Sinjar district in which 30% of the participants will involve survivors and people with disabilities. The participation of the survivors, people with disabilities, and different ethnoreligious groups along with the other community members will contribute to creating inclusion and building bridges and social cohesion in the Sinjar community. The series of activities of this project brought together the community of Sinjar through music, painting, yoga sessions, PSS, and other entertainment activities. All these activities are crucial for the recent returnees to Sinjar as they are living in a completely destroyed area and returned after years of displacement, which created a gap between the different components of Sinjar and broke the communication bonds among them.
