The “Skills Development Center” was opened with support from IOM and mainly for women to develop their skills in Sinjar in 2018 after so many families returned to Sinjar to rebuild their lives. This center gave hope to so many women to adapt to their new life in Sinjar after the war with ISIS and helped them to overcome the mental pressure and mental health issues they were facing after returning to their homes because they returned to a completely destroyed city, where their houses were not suitable anymore for living in. The center embraced so many different activities, 3 courses for literacy, sewing, and handcrafts: as well as an English language course.
